Many years ago – well, maybe about fifteen – I was quite fond of my Boom Box and spent hours taping myself speaking into the attached microphone.  Nothing was off limits: songs belted out off-key, new lyrics developed to replace old standards, and mixed tapes were created to include Mariah Carey’s latest hit. With the flurry of activity surrounding my Boom Box, The Jennifer Beautiful Me Show was born.

The Jennifer Beautiful Me Show had a talk radio format, but with topics more like Ricki Lake or Oprah! and featured several guests as well as many commercial spots.  The format much followed that of the name – it was all about me! I was the host, played the role of each guest, and starred in each commercial slot.

I call this blog The Jennifer Beautiful Me Show because I see this as phase two – the microphone has been traded in for a MacBook, the Puff-paint  sweatshirt is long gone, and hopefully this time around there will be a bit more “audience involvement”.  

When not blogging I can be found at my place of work, a high-tech PR firm located in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District, or at home with my husband in our apartment.  I unapologetically strive for the finer things in life (my mom would say I have champagne taste on a beer budget) but am still able to enjoy outdoor activities such as camping or hiking – just as long as there is a working bathroom in close proximity…a girl’s gotta shower!
